À travers l’exposition, des jeunes de Platfontein (près de Kimberley, Afrique du Sud) expriment, par l’image et le texte, ce qui fait patrimoine pour eux et elles, la façon dont ils et elles se perçoivent, se définissent, se relient au monde, et ce à quoi ils et elles aspirent. À l’occasion de l’ouverture de l’exposition, ces jeunes et des représentant·es des associations SANCD et SASDO viendront témoigner de leur expérience, accompagnés de performances d’un groupe de danse et d’un groupe de hip hop en langue Khwedam. On the afternoon of Saturday, March 15th, the Cosmo-Art project team, the Origins Centre, Sol Plaatje University, the McGregor Museum, the SANCD and SASDO associations, as well as the French Institute and IFAS-Research, are pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition « Places in Me » at the Origins Centre (University of the Witwatersrand). Through this exhibition, young people from Platfontein (near Kimberley, South Africa) use images and text to discuss what makes sense to them in their environment, how they see themselves, how they define and relate to the world, and what they aspire to. The exhibition opening will be the occasion for project participants and representatives from the SANCD and SASDO associations to share their experiences, accompanied by performances from a dance group and a Khwedam-speaking hip-hop group. On Thursday, January 23rd, IFRA-Nairobi, IFRA-Nigeria, and IFAS-Research organised a webinar to present their joint scientific journal, Sources.
