This year, the annual conference of the Human Development and Capabilities Association takes place at the University of Antwerp. The theme of the conference – Capabilities & Transformative Institutions – focuses on the numerous ways in which people’s capabilities are formed by human interaction.

Join our Belgium Alumni ChapterAfter several COVID-postponements, we have finally managed to launch the Belgian Alumni Chapter. In the meantime, we have set up various communication channels, such as LinkedIn, facebook and whatsapp group. We are also working on a profile booklet, we have a network executive team and there are already some networking events planned. The first big event will take place on 8 September. Visit from PeruAfter two years of joint research, though severely hampered by Covid, the research team of the Universidad Nacional del Altiplano de Puno visited IOB. The research on La Rinconada was presented to doctoral students and professors of IOB. At the end of the year, this team will publish a book!
