La 3ème Conférence ministérielle sur le renforcement du rôle des femmes dans la société se tiendra le 12 septembre 2013 à Paris. Elle rassemblera
les ministres en charge des droits des femmes et de l’égalité entre les femmes et les hommes des 43 Etats membres de l’Union pour la Méditerranée
(UpM).

*Dans ce cadre et en tant que pays hôte, la France est heureuse d’offrir la parole aux sociétés civiles. *La Délégation interministérielle à la
Méditerranée (DiMed), service du Premier ministre chargé par le Président de la République de développer une « Méditerranée de projets », ainsi que le lien entre les institutions et les sociétés civiles, ouvre sur son site Internet un espace d’expression pour les sociétés civiles
euro-méditerranéennes.

Les organisations des sociétés civiles travaillant sur l’autonomisation des femmes et l’égalité des sexes dans la région euro-méditerranéenne *sont
invitées à contribuer en formulant des observations et des propositions concernant les trois priorités retenues pour la Conférence ministérielle : *

1. L’égalité des droits entre les femmes et les hommes dans toutes les sphères de la vie (politique, économique, civile et sociale) ;
2. La lutte contre toutes les formes de violences et de discriminations à l’encontre des femmes et des filles ;
3. L’évolution des mentalités et des comportements afin de promouvoir
l’égalité femmes-hommes non seulement en droits mais aussi dans la réalité.

colloque CIST – Fronts et frontières des sciences du territoires – date limite 25 septembre 2013

La date limite pour proposer une communication au 2e colloque international du CIST (27-28 mars 2014) est repoussée au mercredi 25 septembre 2013.
Vous trouverez l’appel à communications en français et en anglais (et autres langues disponibles sur le site dédié) ainsi que le modèle de communication à suivre et le lien pour déposer une communication, de taille comprise entre 10 000 et 15 000 signes, accompagnée d’un résumé de 1 000 signes environ.

The deadline for submitting papers to the 2nd CIST conference has been postponed to: Wednesday 25th of September 2013.
You can find the call for papers in English and French (other languages available on the dedicated site) as well as the template for propositions and link to submit your proposals, that should be between 10 and 15,000 signs, with a 1,000 sign abstract.

APPEL À COMMUNICATIONS – résumé
Les territoires sont à la fois une construction sociale et une matérialité observée par différents champs disciplinaires. Cette interdisciplinarité large constitue un front pionnier difficile mais nécessaire. Une autre frontière à dépasser est celle qui, trop souvent, éloigne les chercheurs des acteurs du développement territorial. Les données territoriales constituent un des domaines par lesquels ces confrontations sont rendues fécondes.
Le deuxième colloque du CIST se propose de défricher ces nouveaux fronts en invitant à explorer six thématiques prioritaires :
Thématique 1 – Données locales, données citoyennes, demande sociale
Thématique 2 – Intégrations régionales et cohésion territoriale : regards croisés
Thématique 3 – Mobilité, territorialité, territorialisation : approches critiques
Thématique 4 – Science des territoires : les fronts pionniers de l’interdisciplinarité
Thématique 5 – Images des territoires : media, représentations
Thématique 6 – Des Systèmes d’Information Territoriale au service de nouvelles problématiques scientifiques ou pratiques sociales

CALL FOR PAPERS – summary
Territories are both a social construct and a materiality observed by different disciplinary fields. This broad interdisciplinarity is a difficult, yet necessary, pioneer front. Another frontier to be crossed is the all too frequent gulf between researchers and the actors of territorial development. Territorial data are a field that offers opportunities for fertile debate. The second international CIST conference aims to clear new and uncharted ground in this area. The call for papers covers six central topics.
Topic 1 – Local data, citizen data, social demand
Topic 2 – Regional integration and territorial cohesion: a comparative perspective
Topic 3 – Critical approaches to mobility, territoriality, territorialization
Topic 4 – Territorial science: the pioneer fronts of interdisciplinarity
Topic 5 – Images of territories. Media and representations
Topic 6 – Territorial Information Systems to address new scientific problems or social practices

Lancement de l’appel à candidature du REFEB – session 2014

Le Service de Coopération et d’Action Culturelle de l’Ambassade de France au Brésil, au titre du Réseau Français d’Études Brésiliennes (REFEB), lance son appel à candidature annuel pour des bourses de mobilité au Brésil (session 2014).
Ce programme s’adresse aux jeunes chercheurs de nationalité française et européenne, de moins de 35 ans, engagés en France dans une recherche en sciences humaines et sociales, dans le cadre d’un Master 2, d’un doctorat ou subsidiairement d’un post-doctorat.

« Africans and Hague Justice: Realities and Representations of the International Criminal Court in Africa »

On 22 and 23 May 2014 NVAS organizes, in close partnership with Hague University of Applied Sciences and the School for Human Rights Research Utrecht, the multi-disciplinary conference « Africans and Hague Justice » to be held in the Hague. With this conference, the organizers aim to highlight African perspectives on the International Criminal Court and the jurisdiction with which it operates. The conference theme closely connects to the current African cases at the International Criminal Court and the vocal and mixed reactions from the African continent towards them.  We are proud to host internationally renowned scholars, such as Kamari Clarke (Anthropology),  Charles Jalloh (International and Criminal Law) en Makau Mutua (Human Rights) featuring as key-note speakers at the conference.

Iberian International Business Conference, Braga, 4 and 5 of October
Deadline for submissions EXTENDED – August 26^th

We are inviting all to participate in the 9th Iberian International Business Conference, in Braga, 4 and 5 of October of 2013. We aim at bringing together Portuguese and Spanish scholars actively researching in topics related to Foreign Direct Investment, International Trade, Firm Internationalization and International Management.

As in earlier IIBC Conferences, this event is a privileged forum to discuss recent work done by researchers in the interdisciplinary areas of International Business, International Entrepreneurship, International Marketing, International Trade strategies, International Finance, International Production and Operations and International Management. Papers do not have to be focused on the cases of Portugal and Spain only, although these are welcome.

The next 9th IIBC meeting will take place in Braga, Portugal, hosted by NIPE and the School of Economics and Management from University of Minho, with the main theme “Globalization of Iberian Firms in a Challenging World”.

All papers should be submitted in English with a reference to IIBC Conference, no later than the deadline. Please see the style guidelines for further information.

The price includes the documentation, lunch (on the 4th  and 5th), the conference dinner, coffee breaks and a social program on the last day of the conference (visit to Port Wine cellars in Porto). Hotels in Braga range from 25 euros per night (Basic hotel) to 70 euros per night (5 stars hotel).
