Dans le cadre de ses activités, SKM France recrute un(e) sociologue du développement pour un poste de chef de projet.
Filiale du groupe SKM (www.globalskm.com), SKM France est un bureau d’étude réalisant des études d’impact social et environnemental dans le secteur des industries extractives, en Afrique, en Asie et au Moyen-Orient.
*Responsabilités *:
Placé sous la responsabilité du directeur de SKM France, le(la) sociologue du développement sera chargé(e) de :
– traiter la composante sociale des études d’impact environnemental et social,
– la préparation de plan de réinstallation pour les opérations nécessitant un déplacement involontaire de populations,
– la définition de plans de développement en milieu urbain ou rural,
– réaliser toute analyse ou planification liée aux aspects sociaux des études et projets réalisés par SKM,
– contribuer à la préparation de propositions techniques et financières dans le cadre des réponses à appel d’offre, pour ses domaines
de compétence.

*Profil recherché :*
· Les candidats doivent pouvoir :
– former et coordonner des équipes d’enquêteurs,
– être capable de diriger une équipe,
– travailler en équipe et de façon autonome,
– être à l’aise dans un contexte interdisciplinaire et interculturel.
· Une formation universitaire de niveau master ou doctorat en sciences sociales appliquées au développement est requise.
· Un minimum de 5 ans d’expérience est requis, sur des études et/ou projets à l’international.
· Une expérience de terrain avérée est indispensable. Les candidats doivent être familiers avec la pratique de la consultance et/ou
de la recherche appliquée.
· Maîtrise opérationnelle de l’anglais écrit, lu et parlé obligatoire.
· Une maîtrise des méthodes d’enquête qualitatives et quantitatives est demandée.
· Les thématiques sur lesquelles le sociologue du développement sera amené à travailler sont diverses et varient en fonction des projets. Il pourra s’agir d’étudier les systèmes de production agricole, les impacts des projets sur la santé, les relations société-environnement, des groupes ethniques minoritaires (peuples autochtones ou indigènes au sens de l’UNESCO), de réaliser des enquêtes ménages, etc. Une bonne capacité d’adaptation est donc nécessaire.
· Une connaissance de logiciels statistiques (SPSS, R) et/ou de gestion d’enquête (Sphinx, Modalisa, CSPro) et/ou de gestion de données qualitatives (Nvivo ou autre) et/ou de bases de données (Access) sera appréciée.
· La connaissance des normes environnementales et sociales en vigueur au sein des institutions internationales (p.ex. Banque Mondiale, IFC, ADB) est un atout.

Le poste est un CDI, basé à Grenoble. De fréquentes missions au Moyen-Orient, en Afrique ou en Asie sont à prévoir.

The appointees will contribute to the development of the Department’s research issues relating to law and cultural diversity in a globalized world.
Background:
The Department of Law & Anthropology was established in March 2012. One of its aims is to offer a prominent platform where both lawyers (academics and practitioners) and anthropologists are involved in the study of diversity challenges in the contemporary era.
Research topics:
The Department will prioritize empirically informed research on (and analysis of) legal practice in the face of cultural diversity in Europe as well as globally: inter alia in the field of migration; minority rights; identity issues; human rights more broadly defined; property claims and their protections. This includes the study of the workings of institutions of social regulation in various settings.

Applicants are invited for a fixed-term position as Senior Teaching Fellow in the SOAS Anthropology Department from September 2013. Preference will be given to a candidate able to teach the ethnography of China at undergraduate and Master’s level. You will be expected to teach other courses in anthropology, and assume administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Social/Cultural Anthropology or be close to completing. You will have proven experience in teaching, and proven administrative and organisational skills.
It is expected that you will have expertise relevant to the vision and strategy of the School
