3 PhD scholarships at University of Bayreuth
The Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS) at the University of Bayreuth in Germany offers three fully funded PhD
scholarships beginning 10/2014 in the following research areas:
– Culture and Technology in Africa
– Media in Africa
– Development Economics in Africa
The successful candidate in the area ‘Culture and Technology in Africa’ will be supervised by me – please feel free to get in touch with inquiries via uli.beisel@gmail.com. I particularly welcome applications on questions of (renewable) energy and energopolitics in Africa. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD in this area, but do not have a concrete research proposal yet, please also get in touch with me as there may be an opportunity to link your PhD topic to a developing research project.
Applicants must have an excellent Master’s Degree. Applications may be sent in German, English or French.
The working language of BIGSAS is English.
